The K-Ruoka online store in a nutshell – how to place an order

At the K-Ruoka online store, customer satisfaction is really high, so you can trust us. The store’s entire range of groceries and homeware can be ordered online, as well as many other utility goods from K-Citymarket stores.
Home delivery or complete shopping bags at the store’s pickup point?
Home delivery of purchases is an everyday luxury for anyone. By ordering groceries to your doorstep, you avoid carrying heavy shopping bags, and a professional selects the freshest products from the store for you. The driver even brings the purchases up to the eighth floor of an apartment building with no elevator. If you prefer, you can opt for a contactless delivery, where the driver leaves the shopping bags at your door, rings the doorbell, and leaves.
Pickup service is a real gem: you select the products in the online store, the store staff collects them for you and you can collect your shopping bags quickly at the store pickup point. You avoid wandering between shelves, congestion, and collecting all the products. You can access all online stores as well as the next available delivery times here. The icon after the store name indicates whether the store offers home delivery for certain postal code areas, pickup service, or maybe both.
How to order groceries online
These instructions apply to orders made from the K-Ruoka.fi website or the K-Ruoka application.
1. Log in and select a store
- Log in to the online store with your existing K-Tunnus or create a new one. If you want to use our online store in English or Swedish, select the language from the menu.
- The products are collected and delivered from the local K-store of your choice, so you should select the store. Choose a home delivery store with your zip code or a pickup store along your way. Search for a store by name, city, or zip code. Go to store selection >>
2. Fill your shopping cart
- Add the products you want from the store’s selection to the shopping cart. If you cannot find the product you are looking for, you can enter the name and package size of the product to the shopping cart in the "Message to picker" ("Viesti tilauksen kerääjälle") field, and we will try to deliver it to you.
- You can easily edit the quantities of the products directly in the shopping cart, or delete the product if you wish.
- Please select whether we may replace items with others in case they are out of stock at the time of picking. You can open the replacement settings at the top of the cart by editing the "Substitution allowed" ("Korvaaminen sallittu") settings. You can allow replacement for all products or only for some products, or you can prohibit replacement for all products. You can refine your preferences by adding a comment for the product in the "Add comment" ("Lisää kommentti") field.
- You have the right to return replaced products. If you are not satisfied with the replaced item, you can return it to the driver and request a refund, or send a message to the store to arrange for the item to be returned. Refund and return policies are store-specific; please contact your own online store for more information if necessary.
- The "Message to picker" ("Viesti tilauksen kerääjälle") field can be found at the bottom of the shopping cart and at checkout before submitting the order. For example, you can enter additional instructions in the field for the collection, replacement, or packaging of products.
- The different functions of the shopping cart can be found under the three points. When ordering from the website K-Ruoka.fi, you can save the shopping basket as a shopping list, add your frequently bought products to the shopping basket, rename the shopping basket, email the shopping list, or print it. From here, you can also empty the shopping basket. When ordering with the K-Ruoka app, under the three points you can update the cart, save the shopping basket as a shopping list, empty the shopping basket or start a new order.
- Keep in mind that not all products need to be confirmed when making the order; when you make an order while logged in, you can edit your shopping basket later via your order history (K-Ruoka.fi) and the link to the order confirmation email you received. In the K-Ruoka app, your undelivered order will appear at the top of the application's front page.
3. Send the order and receive the delivery
- If the store uses more than one delivery method, choose the one you want. Please also select a delivery time and payment method, and submit your order. When submitting your order, you will be asked to use strong authentication if you chose online payment. Please note that the delivery time is only confirmed after you submit the order.
- Purchases will be charged on the delivery date, and no large authorisation holds will be made on your card at the time of ordering. You can pay for your purchases online with a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card, or with Visa Electron. The validity of the card is confirmed during strong authentication, depending on the bank, with an authorisation hold of 0–1 euros, which is returned to your card.
- Please keep in mind that product availability and prices are determined by the delivery date. The products are collected from the store shelves on the delivery date, and availability depends on the shelf situation at the time of collection. Items are not reserved when ordering. Offers must be valid on the order’s delivery date.
- Once the purchases have been charged, you will receive a receipt by email. The email will include a link to your order history where you can check the products collected for the order, as well as any replaced or missing products. In particular, you should look through the replaced and missing items – if you are not satisfied with the replaced item, you can leave it to the driver if you wish.
- Depending on the delivery method you chose, either pick up your shopping bags at the pickup point or stay at home to receive your order. Many stores send a more accurate home delivery time via SMS.
