This accessibility statement explains how the K-Ruoka.fi online service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in its accessibility, and how you can provide us with feedback on accessibility issues.

We continuously strive to improve the accessibility of the service. If you find issues that are not described on this page, please let us know and we will do our best to correct the shortcomings. We will respond within 14 days.

Using the service
The service has buttons and headings whose topic or purpose is difficult to understand. (WCAG 2.4.6)
The Swedish and English versions do not have language marked up correctly. (WCAG 3.1.1)
The screen reader reads many buttons in the language menus of the service with the pronunciation of the wrong language. (WCAG 3.1.2)
The screen reader does not automatically tell about all things that require the user's attention, such as finding or filtering search results, success or error messages. (WCAG 4.1.3)
Perceiving the content
The service includes videos that do not have audio description or a clearly expressed equivalent. (WCAG 1.2.3 and 1.2.5)
There are shortcomings in the heading hierarchy of the web pages, for example, in the way that some heading levels have been skipped. In addition, not all texts that function as headings have been programmatically marked as headings, and on the other hand, texts that are not headings have been marked as headings in some places. (WCAG 1.3.1)
The service contains information such as the nutritional content of the product, which is programmatically presented as a table, even though it is not tabular data. On the other hand, the service contains information intended as a table, such as the location data of a product in a store, that has not been properly marked as a programmatic table. In some places, the tables have also been implemented incorrectly so that the screen reader combines unrelated data. (WCAG 1.3.1)
In the navigation, forms and other content of the service, the reading order has been implemented incorrectly in some places, which makes it difficult to understand the meanings. (WCAG 1.3.2)
The order of keyboard focus is unclear or difficult to understand in many elements. In addition, the focus is often moved to an illogical location (e.g., when a page changes or a modal dialog is closed), and in some situations, it is difficult to control the position of the focus with a screen reader. In some cases, the screen reader user may end up from the modal dialogs to the rest of the content on the page. (WCAG 2.4.3)
The service contains content that does not adapt correctly to changes in font size. For example, some content overlaps when the text is zoomed in to 200%. (WCAG 1.4.4)
The observations in this accessibility statement are based on a third-party assessment of whether the service meets the legal requirements defined in the law.
